Google just rolled out a new presentation generator inside Canvas, the interactive workspace built into its Gemini chatbot, now available to all users on web and mobile.

Here’s how it works:

• Type a topic, describe your preferred style, or upload files, links, or data sources.

• Gemini automatically drafts text, finds visuals, and builds infographics.

• If you don’t specify fonts or colors, it creates a clean white layout by default.

• You can export the result directly to Google Slides or save it as a PDF for editing and collaboration.

Availability:

The feature launched for Pro users on October 24 and is now free for everyone, including Workspace and personal accounts.

Why it matters:

Gemini is evolving from a chatbot into a creative workspace, combining writing, research, and visual storytelling in one place. It’s a clear move to challenge Microsoft Copilot’s PowerPoint integration and bring AI slideshows to anyone with a browser.
